It’s Showtime this week, with GLOC‘s Crazy For You at the Questors Theatre.
I’ll be there and working behind the scenes all week, so if you (a) live in the area, (b) fancy a jolly good show, and (c) aren’t in it already, do consider coming along. Given that, chances are that you don’t exist, but if you do: Come and make it a good night out. You won’t regret it.
At the very least, you’ll get to see a show with an insanely heavy, record-breaking all-time-sturdy, not a piece under half a ton, heavy-duty set and scenery fit to withstand almost any abuse.
Anyway. I’m preparing myself for the event and read the synopsis. I quote: "Bobby [...] sees Polly and falls instantly in love with her", "Polly falls deeply in love…", "…wastes no time in seducing him…", and finally they "…see each other and fall in love."
I am sure it will be tremendous fun for us and a brilliant night out for you, but I am kind-of waiting of a musical with a sensible plot. Recommendations welcome.
