Open-lasagneThis week, I’ve been mostly eating pasta, I think. I used to make my own, but haven’t done so in a while. Prior to Saturday night’s pasta meal for eleven, a test:

Freshly made Ravioli (with pork and blue cheese filling), served with a sage butter and cherry tomato sauce.

Fillet of beef, served on steamed and peppered savoy cabbage. Accompanied by La Ratte potatoes, a red wine reduction and sauce Béarnaise.

The Italian Job: First, fresh sourdough bread with freshly whipped butter, pesto and Balsamic Vinegar. Then, a roasted tomato and Porcini mushroom soup. Then, a chicken liver and fennel lasagne, and a lamb and aubergine lasagne, both served with fresh green salad and more sourdough bread. Followed by summer fruit cheese tartlets, teas, coffees, …

(The open mushroom lasagne shown here dates back to March 2011.)

The Sunday Night Curry Club met at Taste of Mogul, Twickenham (no link to their website, as it plays loud music not to everybody’s taste). Their food was to everybody’s taste, though.
